Conference Report

FHEN project has worked with different stakeholders from various levels (federal, provincial and local), farmers, researchers, students, policy makers, school teachers, cooperative members, etc. On 9th and 10th January, in presence of Minister Mr. Ghanshyam Bhusal, national level conference on pesticide and health was conducted by FHEN project at hotel Shanker. FHEN thought that conference is a proper platform that brings all these stakeholders in one place to discourse on the important issue on pesticide and share their knowledge and experiences, which ultimately help to develop integrated plans for ensuring better public health, through rational use of pesticides in farming. It also helps to disseminate national and international evidence of public health impacts and multisector responses towards the issue of pesticide use in agriculture farming.
